Zuckerberg says he wants stricter European-style privacy laws — but some experts are questioning his motives

On March 30, on his own blog as well as in the pages of the Washington Post, Facebook Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg did indeed throw his support to porting a version of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation to the U.S. He also argued that Internet company “transparency reports” are just as important, on a quarterly basis, as financial reporting.
